Hard Rock Hotel London and Edmund Bell

The highly anticipated Hard Rock Hotel London opened its doors in Spring 2019 and Edmund Bell was specified as one of the partners to work with GLH Hotels to supply curtain fabric for all 900 bedrooms.

 

The hotel, operated by GLH Hotels Management, is the first UK property for the iconic brand. Built in one of London’s most iconic locations – on the corner of Oxford Street and Park Lane – the hotel puts guests just steps away from the very best London has to offer.

 

 

Internationally recognised as a world-class entertainment and lifestyle brand, Hard Rock Hotels offer stylish and contemporary design (hardrockhotels.com) and what better way to do this than with a bespoke design using Edmund Bell’s Printlab service in collaboration with the Hard Rock design team.

 

 

Designers at Edmund Bell were tasked with creating two Ombré effect designs; one in blue and one in red – fitting the brief of cutting-edge décor, cool tones and modern design. The design was to be printed onto the chosen base fabric; flame retardant Venus dimout together with an FR blackout lining offering 100% light exclusion. These were then paired with a white FR slub sheer to add an element of privacy without blocking out the light during the day.

A message to our customers #3

As we enter another week and continue to adjust to this 'new normal' way of life, I wanted to keep you informed of our current service levels:

 

  • Continued shipping, UK & international – we may need flexibility on dates of goods leaving our warehouse, as we are working with a skeleton team.
  • We are here to answer your calls and emails – our customer service team are working from home taking any enquiries and orders as usual.
  • We've had lots of enquiries from customers who are manufacturing PPE products to support the NHS and other healthcare environments – we are supplying fabrics for this purpose so please contact us for more information.
  • Sampling – we are only able to send out samples where it is urgent; these won't be sent out daily unfortunately. A message to our customers #2

Things are changing day by day, minute by minute and we think it is important to keep you informed of our service levels during this time.

Following our update yesterday evening, it is clear that a large number of our customers are still able to keep working and many are making products for the NHS and Healthcare environments and continue to require fabric and other products. We want to reassure you:

 

  • Continued shipping, UK & international – we have made the decision based on feedback from customers, that we keep some staff available to deliver goods next week, commencing 30th March.
  • We may need flexibility on dates of goods leaving our warehouse, as we are working with a skeleton team.
  • We are here to answer your calls and emails – our customer service team are working at home taking any enquiries and orders as usual (we will confirm delivery dates).
  • We will do everything we can to support the Healthcare market, so please contact us to see how we can help you were product is needed.
  • If you require fabrics urgently to support you through this crisis, we are able to ship goods and will confirm delivery dates once we receive your order.
  • If you can’t get through, please email sales@edmundbell.com and we’ll call you back as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our sister company Redwood TTM in Skelmersdale is continuing to manufacture medical equipment and mattresses for the NHS and Healthcare requirements at the request of the Government. Please let us know if they can help you with any medical products.
